Oxygen probe can troubleshoot gas faults

Possible issues with combustible gas detectors:

1. The operator encountered orientation placement issues due to lack of understanding.

For example, installing some exhaust equipment close to the combustible detector may cause errors in the resistivity of the platinum wire of the combustible gas alarm. Therefore, the combustible gas alarm should be kept away from these devices to avoid faults caused by improper positioning. Or it is possible that the combustible gas alarm is not located near the equipment that is prone to leaking combustible gas, or is installed adjacent to the exhaust fan, and the leaked combustible gas cannot be fully dispersed near the combustible gas alarm

2. Problems occurred during the installation of oxygen probes and engineering processes.

For household use, when residents use natural gas, the gas detector should be installed on the ceiling within 300mm of the ceiling; When residents use liquefied petroleum gas, gas detectors should be installed locally within 300mm above the ground.

Both industrial and household use should pay attention to using non corrosive soldering flux for welding to avoid corrosion. After construction, debugging should be carried out to ensure that the combustible gas alarm is in normal working condition.

3. Lack of error awareness of detector alarms.

Many people think that if there is an oil and gas leak near the detector, the controller should announce an alarm signal. If it does not alarm, the detector may have malfunctioned. This kind of knowledge is incorrect. The detection policy of the detector is for combustible gases in the air, with a monitoring range of 100. However, the controller only declares an alarm signal when the concentration of combustible gases reaches the set value, not when there is oil or gas.

4. Failure to conduct testing and investigation on time.

Many factories, for the sake of inspection, install it when they are built, thinking it is a one-time solution. Without timely records and troubleshooting, the problem occurred when it was already too late. Proper knowledge and careful protection are decisive conditions for the normal operation of combustible gas detectors, so they cannot be ignored.
